4th of July, 2003 fishing Derby Results

The 4th of July derby started very early for two anxious anglers. Archie and Terry Hall pulled away from the dock a few minutes before 5:00 A.M. in search of "Walter" the monster fish. They both seemed to do okay. Awards were as follow:

Bass: 1st Terry Hall 16 1/2" 2 lb 10 oz.
2nd Chrissie Ishida 15" 1 lb 15 oz.
3rd Jr. Cassandra Dowdy 14 1/2" 1 lb 12 oz.

Crappie: Tied for 1st Archie Hall & Kady Lemke 9"
Tied for 2nd Dave Hall & Eddy Pettack 8"

Perch: 1st Kathie Stear 11 1/4"
2nd Mike Stear 11"
3rd Tom Stear 10 3/4"

Trout: Tied for 1st Ron Grassette 17" 1 lb 14 oz.
& Blair Attridge 17" 2 lb 3 oz.
3rd Vodge Volaski 16 1/2" 1 lb 10 oz.

The junior fishermen also started the day pretty early. Eddy Pettack, Brad and Chris Hall were spotted approaching the river at about 6:00 A.M. on the button. The location will be kept a secret due to fishermen's honor. There was a great turn out of junior fishermen participating in the derby. Awards were as follows:

Perch: 1st Jeremy Stear 11 3/4"
              Tied for 3rd Kylie Hahn 9"
              Rebecca Reynolds 9"
              Ryan Romero 9"

Trout: 1st Kelly Hahn 18" 2 lb 14 oz.
2nd Jeremy Stear 17 1/2" 1 lb 10 oz.
3rd Chris Hall 15" 1 lb 6 oz.
