Fire and Medical Protection

Copco Lake Fire Department is manned by volunteers who are local residents.  They are involved in monthly training exercises that allows them to practice and become familiar with the various types of equipment so they are prepared if an emergency occurs.

January 2001  The Department now has 16 volunteers.  For the year 2000, there was a total of 552 hours of training at the station on fire equipment and medical, besides an additional 228 hours for the First Responder Classes, with an average 52 hours per volunteer.  This does not include the time spent for  11 emergency calls.

A special "Thank You" to our volunteers, for their time spent training and for being there when we needed them. To our community, thanks for your continued support and for having a great fire season.
