July
4, 2001 Fishing Derby Results
The water was calm and the weather couldn't have
been better if it had been ordered. The best
and most experienced people in the art of catching
the illusive trout and bass were gearing up for
tough competition at the break of daylight.
This is where a quarter of an inch can mean
victory at the weigh-in, or just another fish in
the pan.
Anglers of all ages traveled from one end of Copco
Lake to the other as well as up the Klamath River
in search of their trophy catch. Whether it
be trout, bass or perch; every method and
"secret" lure was tried and tested with
the best combination of both resulting in the
winning catch for the day.
The Hall family was out and caught many
trophy sized fish.

All contestants met at the Copco Lake Community
Center at 2:00 P.M. for the final weigh-in to
determine whether their catch was First, Second or
Third in size or weight.
