Class 4+ Whitewater Rafting Photo courtesy of W.O.A. Photography (Del F. Steyaert) The upper Klamath River has become a popular white water experience. It has been found by many rafting enthusiasts that the Klamath is one of the best white water rivers in the west. The Hells Corner Gorge is seven continuous miles of class 3 and 4+ rapids. Only highly skilled raftsmen with extensive river experience and good equipment should attempt rafting the Klamath. Your rafting experience will be filled with some of the most beautiful and rugged landscapes that can really be compared to none. Once afloat, your pace will be set by the current and filled with the sites, sounds, and smells of the river. The river has an abundance of wildlife, riverside caves, high multicolored bluffs, and groves of many different varieties of trees which only adds to the spender of the trip. Copco Lake Store is an important stop-off point for most of the rafters. This is the time to calm down with a cool beverage and come off the adrenaline rush that this river ultimately gives to everyone who braves both its fury along with its beauty. As you are resting you have the opportunity to view and purchase personal pictures of your trip. There are two booths located at Copco Lake Store who captures your experiences and has them ready for you at journeys end. Many commercial rafting tours are available. For information and help in choosing your favorite rafting tour group, contact [Copco Lake Store], or click on one of the following links.
